Hi friends and neighbors! I’m starting this blog as part of a work training on web 2.0 tools, but who knows — I just might keep it up! I’d love to share stories on my experiences working with preschoolers and perhaps talk about new books I’ve discovered and how they can be used in library storytimes (as well as how they go over with the true judges — the kids!)
P.S. Yes, I am aware “library” is spelled wrong. If you’ve ever heard a preschooler say the word, though, you’ll know that I’m spelling it their way. The kids call me Miss Mary Liberry sometimes, along with “library lady” and, on ocassion, just “library” (as in: “the library’s here!” when I walk into the classroom. I hope I don’t remind them of a large concrete building!).
I am passionate about sharing books with children. I believe the more we read aloud to kids when they’re young, the more we share books and stories with them, the more likely they are to become readers, which in turn will lead to successful, happy, productive lives. Books can change the world!
Thanks I enjoyed your blog!
