Some dogs…um…are paratroopers?

I was reading Some Dogs Do by Jez Alborough (one of my favorite dog stories) to a group of kids.  The cover looks like this:

Before I start reading, I always ask the kids what they think some dogs do? They generally always answer with “fly”.  But today I heard this:

“Jump out of a Chinook and open a parachute.”

Way to go little guy with extensive knowledge of military vehicles! It does look like the little dog in the book is freefalling with an unopened parachute on his back.

Turns out his dad is in the military and just happens to repair Chinooks.
