We were reading Big Frog Can’t Fit In by Mo Willems. I always start by asking the kids what big frog can’t fit into (pointing out the foot sticking out of the book). Usually the answers are things like pond or house, and occasionally, they’ll recognize that she can’t fit in the book.
Me: “Where can’t big frog fit in?”
Girl: “A teapot!”
…..
Technically, she is correct. Bonus points for creativity.
Christen, I know EXACTLY what book you’re talking about: Monster Monster by Walsh, right? I have had kids say the same thing! 🙂
Kids say the best things in storytime! I once had a two-year-old tell me that the spaceman’s helmet was a toilet.
